Author James Frey tells Oprah Winfrey that if he could do so once more he would have "been honest" in the promotion of his book "A Million little pieces."
Frey appeared on the episode of "the oprah winfrey Show" Monday, more than five years after that Winfrey was on live TV to lie in the book. Winfrey has called "the great controversy" in the history of his show.
Winfrey chooses history of addiction Frey "A Million little pieces", for his club book in September 2005, which makes it a million-seller.
Frey admitted on Winfrey's show in January 2006 that he lied in the book. Winfrey told him that she felt deceived and that he had betrayed millions of readers.
Frey said Winfrey Tuesday that he is never seen interview and called him a "personal car accident".
