Bluesman Robert Johnson died bankrupt and almost unknown in a small town in Mississippi in 1938, but a century after his birth, he is celebrated for its power sell and musical legacy in the world.
Johnson music has influenced such artists as Eric Clapton, the Rolling Stones and John Mayer.
To mark the centenary of Johnson, Sony Music Entertainment has reissued his recordings in "" Robert Johnson: the masters complete original - Centennial Edition. "" It is also recognized this week at the Blues Music Awards in Memphis, Tennessee. And, a brewery of Delaware created an invention in his honour, called "Hellhound on my Ale."
Starting Thursday, the city of Greenwood, Miss, will be hosting an event of the Johnson Centennial four days featuring an exhibition of art and performances of Keb 'Mo', Bobby Rush and Cedric Burnside project.
