There are lots of insults in the game of survivor. Back-stabber. Liar. Cheater. Thief. But racist? It is a different matter entirely. Phillip Sheppard has accused his opponent Steve Wright of racism after that Steve he called crazy, it was the rant heard around the camp - and on televisions across the country. Fortunately, the 51-year former NFL offensive tackle took ugly name-calling in the wake. "I knew that nothing could be made of what I said," he told TVGuide.com. Steve also talked about what he shocked most on Phillip, why he tried to align with Ashley Underwood and Natalie Tenerelli and his thoughts on tortuous immunity challenge on Wednesday.

Why do you think that you are not able to win the duel and stay in the game?
Steve Wright: Matt, you cannot help but love that guy. It was just fair play, and there is no grudge. There is not much through your head unless you're just exhausted. You just whipped mentally, physically and emotionally.
It was exhaustion or it chance?
Steve: I think it was a little of both. I think that Mike obtain in advance and look at these guys. Just be tired, I just whipped in all aspects. You are just cooked. I had no idea, the show last night how difficult that was the last challenge. Watch television with Boston Rob running these stairs, I thought that I would have passed. Who would have been really rude to try to do. So easy that it seemed, I had no idea how they managed to draw such strength when you run the complete vacuum.
Survivor Julie: stealing shorts of Phillip was not "a good idea."
Everyone on Ometepe, why have you specifically chosen Ashley and Natalie to try to align on?
Steve: Ralph, Mike and I really worked very hard girls because we knew that when Rob and Grant would walk off the coast. The girls would be just sitting there, so why not just give him a chance? You get a chance, you have to do the great game. We knew that the writing was on the wall for us. I think that the Tribal Council before that I said to everyone, just in front of Rob, "we'll vote for him." If anyone wants to make the move now, jump on board. I have nothing to hide. "In hindsight, I wish that I had just went while they were in bed and said:" Hey, we're going to vote for this guy. " "Why not? It would have made for good television, too. No there was no hidden inside. Why not simply expose?
Why have you also tried to make amends with Phillip, despite his erratic behavior during the game?
Steve: I don't know, it's just my character. I knew I was going to be living with the guy for a while and you are in such close quarters, his similar come, let's talk about the elephant in the room. At least I will put the olive out there and reach out for you. So I lead my life type and if it comes back to bite me, it does. I feel better about myself. I would not have to sit next to him in the fire for the next three days not say a Word. ... It is quite shocking for him cannot be virility to get up and say, "hey, Steve." I'm sorry. I have been acting a little wacky. "I was really shocked. This shows only is how shallow and a chip that it is obtained on his shoulder. I was shocked to hear that he believed that my handshake was disingenuous. It is unstable.
Survivor David: "I have had no close links to the left" to my alliance
Why do think that Phillip has advanced this argument on rice can and your calling it "crazy" in a debate on the racial issue?
Steve: it's the same thing when, a few shows earlier, he said the red-headed stepchild. He got a chip on the shoulder big, and I would call you crazy the same way. You can say different ways. You can add anything to what you want, but I have to say mad. In my view, less I have said, more he he pissed off the coast.
This is a serious accusation to throw to the front of the cameras. Were their ramifications of the real world of that?
Steve: I played in the NFL for 13 years, and I was on the [{Raiders Los Angeles}.] When we had only 10 white guys, and my brother-in-law is black just have no harm in me. It is simply not at all part of my nature. I received lots of support from lots of guys across the country. Textos people to me and say: "" prejudice, my one-."" I knew that nothing could be made of what I said. When the cameras are on your 24/7, the real you comes out. He he exposed and exposed me. Everyone can take their interpretation of it, but they do not really count for me. It is a black brothers and friends and family who knows the real me. I knew I was going to come out fine. I was so shocked. I had never actually heard someone get that ugly before. And he came on and on and on much more time you saw.
If looking at the overall game, what was your biggest surprise?
Steve: probably hungry. Before the show, I thought that I was doing all the right preparation: I was getting in shape, running, swimming and I learned how to light a fire with sticks. I was ready to come a few kicked a-. I said to my friend when I was on my way, "I will have to be careful." I don't want to have a target on my back big win every competition, because I know I'll win most of the competitions. "The show, you don't realize everyone is how impoverished. ... Just the emotions, the strength and nutrition depletion - it's a real shock. I said to everyone, that nothing can prepare you to hunger. My body is in need of 1 500 calories just to stay the same, and I think that I lost a book a day for more than 30 days.
