"Dougie" rapper killed in drive by shooting

M - bone from the rap group Cali Swag District, who scored a success last year with the song "Teach Me how to Dougie", was killed in weekend shooting drive sitting in a car outside a liquor storepolice said Monday.


The 22-year Inglewood man, whose real name is Manta Ray Talbert, was sitting alone in his car shortly after 10: 30 pm on Sunday.


"Another car pulled alongside, shots were fired and the victim was hit twice in the head," said lieutenant James Madia.


Talbert was pronounced dead at the hospital.


Lieutenant Steve too said that the reason for the attack was under investigation. Several theories have been advanced on social media sites and the detectives have followed some of them to see if they were credible, he said.


Talbert was "the victim of an act random violence," publicist of the District of Cali Swag Greg Miller said in a statement.


"It was a hard worker, passionate artist and a dancer will be deeply late," said Miller.


Witnesses gave various descriptions of the car who fled, said Madia.


Partner C-Smoove tweeted Monday that his life has changed dramatically in a blink of eye and added "rip mbone.


The success of the District of Cali Swag "Teach Me how to Dougie" is based on dance "dougie", which appeared in Texas and is known for its leaning, movements of the shoulder and arm.


Dance not only played in the streets and clubs of dance, but by celebrities, thus, of Wolf Blitzer on Washington Wizards star John wall; even first lady Michelle Obama recently performed the dance its initiative "Let's's Move".


"Teach Me How dougie", spent several months in the top 10 songs of Billboard hot rap. The Group also performed dance on several television programs.
