Paul McCartney engaged to girlfriend Nancy Shevell

 Paul McCartney and his girlfriend Nancy Shevell are committed, his Press Secretary, said Friday, nearly four years after their first spotted together.

McCartney, 68, has started to dating from 51 worldly years in New York and businesswoman from his bitter separated from second wife Heather Mills.

Publicist McCartney Stuart Bell confirmed recent speculation of the media on a proposition as true, but he declined to give more details on when and how former Beatle asked Shevell to marry him, stating that "we are all very happy for him.".
