Brendan Fraser took aim at the role of "William Tell"

LOS ANGELES- Brendan Fraser is taken aim to portray iconic archer William Tell.

Fraser is negotiating to play in what is called "" William Tell: 3D. "" Nick Hurran, who led the recent remake of TV "The prisoner", is attached to direct the film.

Anna Paquin is negotiating to play the wife of the Tell, with the star Til Schweiger game Habsburg King German Hermann Gessler.

The legend of Tell implies an archer who is forced to shoot an Apple on top of the head of his son after not wanting to bow (no pun intended) from the statue of the King. When the monarch asks why Tell had two arrows in his quiver, archer replied that the other arrow was for the King when he missed the Apple. The events that followed led to an uprising, eventually lead to the formation of the State of the Switzerland.

The film is designed to shoot this fall in Romania and Switzerland.

Fraser is currently shooting "Whole Lotta Sole," in Ireland.
