Brad Pitt: "do you started" on God

For certain stars high in the Christian faith, the lessons of the Bible has proved unsuccessful.

At the Cannes Festival, Brad Pitt revealed its reserves with his Christian education "suffocating". He spoke at a press conference for "the tree of life", in which he plays a father in the 1950s, fighting with his son. As the family in the film, Pitt grew up in a rural environment - Shawnee, Oklahoma, and later, Springfield, Missouri - governed by the religion.

"Many people find religion to be very inspiring," he said. "Me, I found it very stifling.". I grew up with Christianity, and I remember questioning of greatly. Some things didn't work for me. Certain things done. ?

"I have had many questions which presents the film", continued the Pitt. "This is why he spoke with me." I grew up being told God will take care of everything and it doesn't always work out that way. And then you're told well, "it is the will of God." I received my questions. Man, you don't want to get started me. ?

The old actor for 47 years is not the only star to question the faith. Below, see the three most famous people who have given up or pedaled on Christianity:

Perry recently told Vanity Fair that, as a child, his parents, two Evangelical pastors, would step read a book to her other than the Bible and refused to let non-religious music.

"I didn't have a childhood", she said. "Grow up seeing for family planning, he was considered the abortion clinic."

She interviewed Christianity from an early age.

"In my faith, you are just supposed to have faith," she said. "But I've always been like-" why? ". ?

"At this point, I'm any kind of a hobo," she said. "I am open to the possibility." My sponge is so great and wide and I absorb everything and my mind has been dramatically expanded. ?

As a young girl growing up in an Irish Catholic family, Kathy Griffin went to the parish school. It was not exactly a model student.

"My parents sent me to Catholic school, which does me made the vehement militant atheist I am today," she said at L.A. Magazine in 2005. "Don ' t get started me about priests." The nuns called 'crazy boy' me, Don't you love who?

Much later in life, Griffin is mocked Christians dedicated when she won a Creative Arts Emmy for his reality show "My life on the D list."

"I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus", she said at the 2007 show. "So all I can say is, s * k it, Jesus.". This award is my God! "His remarks was censored when E! the ceremony of scattering at a later date.

Last year, Anne Rice, the best-selling novelist behind "Interview with the Vampire" (which by coincidence featured Brad Pitt film version) takes to Facebook to reveal that she is no longer considered itself the Catholic Church member. Rice was known for its religiosity - in 2009, that it has launched a new series of novels on the angels that began with the "Angel time."

In his post to Facebook, Rice wrote that she felt like "an outsider" in the Christian community.

"I quit being a Christian," she writes. "I am." On behalf of Christ, I refuse to be homophobic. I refuse to be anti-feminist. I refuse to be and birth control. I refuse to be anti-Democrat. I refuse to be humanism which. I refuse to be opposed to science. I refuse to be combated. On behalf of Christ, I quit Christianity and be a Christian. Amen. ?

In another position, rice admitted, "I remain committed to Christ as always, but not step to be"Christian"or a part of Christianity."

Religion remains a dominant force in the life of Rice, judging from his Twitter feed. This week, she dedicated a series of tweets to the sexual abuse scandals in the Catholic Church.
