Winners crossing the finish line of "the amazing Race" (AP)

LOS ANGELES - LaKisha Hoffman and Jennifer Hoffman rode past the Harlem Globetrotters to win "amazing Race".

The sisters, the two coaches originally from Chicago, crossed the finish line first to win the grand prize of $ 1 million reality series. Despite never landing on the carpet first any stage of the 18th Edition of the race around the world, the sisters overcame his teammates Globetrotter Nathaniel "Big Easy" Lofton and Herbert "Flight time" Lang to win the final stage which was broadcast on Sunday.

"The only time where it is important to winning a leg is this last step," said LaKisha Hoffman.

Sports teams battled for first place after that the displacement of Rio de Janeiro, the Brazil, in Miami, FLA duo. father-daughter, Gary and Mallory Erwin persisted in the third place after their taxi driver lost the way to a dry dock boat challenge.

In case of wind visibly, the Hoffmans built their first trailer and charged past the Globetrotters on tricycles in the line across the seven Mile Bridge. Lofton and Lang, who came in all of first in the previous two legs of the competition, on the bridge that they would be able to capture the Hoffmans.

"We beat out by two girls, but it's OK," Lang joked on the finish line.

Marks the victory of Hoffmans the second time in the history of the race that a female has taken the top spot.

The 18th Edition of "The Amazing Race featured 11 teams of competing veteran who had never won a grand prize of the show. The race began a wind park in Palm Springs, California and included stops in Australia, Japan, China, India, Austria and the Liechtenstein.
