Son of Sarah Palin married high school

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Track Palin, the eldest daughter of former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin, married.

Florida High School Jazz Band competition WINS

 A Florida high school has won Jazz essentially Ellington high school jazz band competition of the Lincoln Center, finishing moves of two schools in the Seattle area.

The trophy of the first place and a prize of $5,000 were presented by Director artistic JALC Wynton Marsalis at the Dillard Center for the Arts in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Saturday night ceremony and concert at Avery Fisher Hall. The band, conducted by Christopher Dorsey, finished second at last year's competition.

Seattle Roosevelt High School took second place, while the suburban Mountlake Terrace High School finished third. Honourable mention went to the school of the new world of the Arts in Miami, Florida.

Three days featured 15 contest finalist - selected from 110 entries - performing some compositions by Duke Ellington and for the first time made up for the Count Basie Orchestra Music bands.
