Prince William, Kate Middleton to delay honeymoon

 Prince William and Kate Middleton decided not to immediately leave for their honeymoon and honeymooners will remain in Britain this weekend, representatives of the Palace, said Saturday.

William, who married Middleton Friday at an opulent ceremony at Westminster Abbey, plans to return to military service as a pilot of rescue of Royal Air Force helicopter to the country of Wales at the end of the week, officials which includes one day Bank Holiday Mondaysaid.


They will go on a honeymoon to an overseas location undisclosed later, officials said, claiming that it is "personal preference" of the couple.


A statement on the official website of marriage royal says the honeymoon destination and the place where the newlyweds are spending this weekend, will be kept private.


"The couple asked that their privacy is respected during next weekend and the course of their journey of marriage," said the statement.


William and Middleton, now known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, left Buckingham Palace in a helicopter late Saturday morning. The couple dressed casually walk to the main helipad in hand, stopping to shake hands with two members of staff.


The Palace did not reveal where, in Britain, they went for the rest of the weekend. It is believed that the couple seeking privacy after the intense media focus on their marriage.


Earlier, officials have said William planned leave of two weeks of military duties of the honeymoon period of the couple, but no specific date or locations have been announced.


The couple has a wide range of options of honeymoon, including a stay in vast area of the Queen Elizabeth II Balmoral in Scotland, where they would probably have the protection of the personal information necessary to evade paparazzi.

Approximately 27 million people in the United Kingdom watched the Prince William and Kate Middleton to marry Friday, approximately 1.4 million less than those who watched the Prince Charles and Diana's marriage in 1981, Deadline.com reports.
