Revelations could tarnish the legacy of Schwarzenegger

The political legacy of Arnold Schwarzenegger in California was already precarious.

He left the Office of the Governor after seven years without making good on his promise to campaign central to set the State of the budgeting system, and then commuted sentence for manslaughter for the son of a political ally in one of his last official actsthe conviction of prosecutors and the family of the deceased student drawing.

Now, he revealed himself to be the father of a child out of wedlock, a secret he kept during two terms of Governor.

Whatever his achievements in Office, Schwarzenegger is best known as another politician subjects which has been taken there.

After leaving office in January, the former Republican Governor had a time been fishing for a role as a spokesman for international policy, perhaps on environmental issues. In April, he appeared in Washington, D.C., immigration forum hosted by the President Barack Obama, but its more grandiose plans for policy do not appear to be panoramic, so Schwarzenegger recently attempted to revive his career as a Hollywood action star.

County of San Diego attorneys last week asked a court in the State set aside the decision of last-minute Schwarzenegger because he has not requested entry of the family of the victim before switching. Right of the State requires that notification.

Now, Schwarzenegger history resembles that of many other politicians assaillies by pride and lack of discernment. The indiscretion, which Schwarzenegger referred to as an "event" that took place more than ten years ago will be what sticks in the minds of many people, adding to the image of the star former "Terminator" as a Hollywood playboy.
