Prohibition of Spy Show front of advantage China milestone

 Chinese TV regulators have ordered local broadcasters to stay away from spy thrillers and crime in an accumulation of propaganda for the 90th anniversary of the Communist Party in power on July 1.

The Beijing Times reported Thursday that the ban is from May to July. The report quotes officials of television in the cities of Tianjin and Shanghai.


Friday, the Beijing News said a regulator of TV of the State Administration of Radio, film and television or the SARFT, that broadcasters will broadcast instead of dozens of "exceptional" TV series which is synchronized with birthday party themes.


Studio belonging to the State China Film Group is set to release a blockbuster of propaganda, "The foundation of a party", on 15 June.


Calls to a spokesman of the SARFT are remained without answers Friday.
