Nicole Scherzinger co-host "X factor"

LOS ANGELES - former singer Pussycat Dolls Nicole Scherzinger will be peoples the show to come and sing "The X Factor", Fox television, said Saturday, but no there was no official word on whether the former "american idol" judge Paula Abdul had signed as the final judge.

Scherzinger will host the competition with British TV presenter Steve Jones, Fox said in a statement. But, on the eve of the first regular hearings of judges on Sunday, the statement omitted any mention of Abdul.

Abdul, who left "Idol" there is a two-year contract dispute, was reported earlier on Saturday to be in final talks to join his former training partner "american idol" Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole British singer and producer Antonio "L.A." Reid on the "X factor" jury.

"The X factor", created by contractors of English music Cowell, is due to air on Fox in fall 2011, offering a prize of $ 5 million and a contract of registration for the winner.

The line-up of celebrity gives "X factor" a strong British flavor and who plays the introduction of new faces on prime-time U.S. television.

Although the sarcastic Cowell became a name of the United States household, in his 10 years on the "American Idol" Cole, a member of the pop group British "girls Out Loud" - is virtually unknown to the United States, although it was a big star at homewhere she was a judge on the "X factor" U.K. version

Jones, a former model and now a British TV presenter, is also a newcomer to a U.S. audience.

Cowell has spent more than a year assembling the line-up of celebrity for his company "X factor", which it announced in January 2010. He has not hidden his desire to work again with Abdul.

Since Cowell announced plans for "X factor", "American Idol" - still the most-watched TV show on American television - has been redesigned and increased his audience after years of drag dimensions, and several other singing rival television have been launched.

They include "The Voice" on NBC, which enjoys a panel of power to the coaches/judges of Christina Aguilera star, Blake Shelton, Maroon 5 front-man country singer Adam Levine and R & B singer and producer Cee Lo Green.
