NEW YORK - Meredith Vieira says that she left "Today" show to NBC next month, and Ann Curry will replace it as the host.
Turnover in the morning show top rated was planned. Vieira has replaced Katie Couric five years ago and talked about wanting to spend more time with his family. Her husband, the author Richard M. Cohen, wrote a best-selling book about suffering from multiple sclerosis and cancer of the colon.
Curry is well known for "today" viewers. She has been with the show since 1997, as news anchor. Natalie Morales, another face familiar to fans of the series, will become the regular News Reader.
Vieira, says that it leaves the show in June.
