"idol" finalists are current and classic tunes


LOS ANGELES - Lauren Alaina was anything but flat on "american idol".


Singer of 16 years in arrow of Rossville, GA, impressed judges the competition for talent from the Fox with two of its performance on the part of the Wednesday of the current and classic songs. An Alaina powered pavanait "Flat on the Floor of the Carrie Underwood" before delivering an elegant powerfully take on The Righteous Brothers "unchained Melody."

It took off with 30 seconds to March "closer to the edge" and later landed an emotional return of "Without You in Harry Nilsson", which led the singer to tears.


One of the five finalists will be dismissed Thursday.
