Chris Hemsworth takes Hollywood as the God of Thunder

It is to report to the world as a cinematic superhero, but at this time, worry about more of Chris Hemsworth is a giant bowl of almonds.

Since his arrival on the title role in "thor", the Australian actor has packed on more than 20 pounds of muscle to become the wrinkles Norse god of Thunder - and the new body requires constant protein to maintain.

"I needed to make an effort to enter the gym room and force feed me buckets of chicken and steak, vegetables and brown rice." "It was rather sickening", says the affable actor, who resembles a young Brad Pitt with a physics carved which wow men and women. "But also far that jobs, I don't want to complain." It is always one of the best. ?

Hemsworth had only a handful of American Film roles before landing to the strange Marvel superhero that he introduced in "thor" and will be resumed the year next in "The Avengers."

"Thor", which is directed by Kenneth Branagh and stars as Anthony Hopkins and Natalie Portman, opens Friday.

Hemsworth admits it was "a kind of intimidating" to deal with his costars citizen, "but they could not been more favourable."

"They have all the same kind of recognition for the work and love for what they are doing," said the old actor for 27 years. "And there is no me."

In "Thor" of casting lead, Branagh sought to discover "" what was necessary: a new true film star. ""

In fact, the producer of the film, Kevin Feige, stressed the fact that an exciting new Thor would be essential for the success of the film, Branagh recalls.

"It is not something that I never said to Chris Hemsworth," Branagh said, but he was right. ?

The Director wanted a fresh face, someone the public could think like a God, but with the acting chops of a veteran who could hold his own in scenes with Hopkins and Portman.

"He had all of this and he also had this kind of natural ease in front of the camera which was also vital," Branagh told Hemsworth. "Rest, Thor must be a fascinating history." And it is. It is of course a very nice lad and he worked as a Trojan horse for this body. When he removes his shirt, there is always an audible response. ?

(This is a safe bet that is going to happen in a theatre near you).

Hemsworth explains muscle him feel more like the character, but he is keen to throw much. Yet, it will take time before it: "the avengers" starts next week, in which the new Thor will join a cast set which includes Robert Downey Jr.: Iron Man, Chris Evans: Captain America and Mark Ruffalo: the Incredible Hulk of shooting.

"It's a lot of superheroes," said Hemsworth. "It should be fun."

The Middle brother in a trio of brothers, Hemsworth and his younger brother (and former beautiful Miley Cyrus), Liam, both auditioned for the role of Thor. And although the brothers are competitive in sports - including their favorite family, surf - they are a team when it comes to Hollywood success.

"We always support each other, and if Chris Gets a part above me, I am also pleased that make such as myself, says Liam, who is about to begin production on the adaptation of large screen very expected"The hunger games".".

"A victory for him is a victory for me," echoes Hemsworth. "Seen all the way over here and make it a big risk, you need an ally."

The two repeat together, share their contacts and generally the other give professional pep conferences.
