Bristol Palin admits his change recent apparently was due to a procedure - but plastic not surgery.
The daughter of 20 years of 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin tells Us Weekly that she underwent surgery corrective jaw in December, a month after that she finished third on the string ABC "Dancing with the stars". His face now appears thinner, higher cheekbones and angular jaw.
The new look, complete with Palin lose 5 pounds, was officially opened on 30 April in dinner with the Association of the correspondents of the White House in Washington, D.C.
"Yes, it has improved the way I look, but this operation was necessary for medical reasons," she said the magazine in its edition of 23 May, which will be on newsstands Friday.
Palin, stated that she had the procedure therefore its jaw and teeth can re-align properly.
While growing up, she wore braces and a device to assist in correcting an Overbite. But she said her dentist has warned that it would have to undergo surgery, one day.

Palin said she is pleased with the new look.
"I am older, more mature and do not have as much a little chubby baby face," she told the magazine.
Palin, said that it is not obsess on his face and would consider plastic surgery in an extreme situation.
"I would not get surgery plastic unless I had an accident or something terrible and have disfigured," she said.
Palin will be on TV at the end of the year, featuring in a series of reality for the Bio channel. The as-yet-untitled series will follow her move from Alaska, to Los Angeles with his son, Tripp, work to a small charity. She will live with the brothers actor Kyle and Christopher Massey.
Kyle Massey is fellow "Dancing" competitor and friend of Palin, said the network.
Palin may also soon add author to his resume.
She signed with William Morrow to publish "no step fear of life" out this summer. Morrow, an imprint of HarperCollins, said the memoir will provide "an inside look at his life."
Levi Johnston, the father of her child, is also preparing a book of tell - all on his tumultuous relationship with the Palin family.
Touchstone Publishing has a publication date of fall for the book of Johnston, "deer in the headlights: my life in crosshairs of Sarah Palin."
