"[It will give her and Derek interesting to play the following season tips]," Sarah Drew tells TVGuide.com "they were so happy for the past few seasons and he was not much drama between the two of them, and now it is a massive thing who came between them."
Meredith will also have to deal with the fallout between her and Alex (Justin Chambers), who had disclosed his wrongdoing to Owen (Kevin McKidd) in the hope it would withdraw from the race for chief resident. "I think that there will be lots of movement towards healing and repair," Drew said of the next season, "people really hurt each other and try to cross it.".
With regard to the new hierarchy with April in charge, it is one thing to be chief resident on paper and another to put the title in action. "I think it will be amazing to create incredibly efficient work protocols," said Drew. "However, a party to be chief resident is demanding respect so that people not really what you say and follow the protocols that turn you on.". The greatest thing for her is to truly earn the respect of his peers. ?
