9/11 Tribute to open Memorial Day Concert of the PBS

 A tribute to the victims of the September 11 terror attacks will open the 27th PBS National Memorial Day Annual Concert on the lawn of the Capitol in Washington.

Organizers, said in a news release that the segment will remember "" those who have lost life day and their loved ones and commemorating the heroism of firefighters and police officers which was first respond. "" The event will also continue the tradition of honoring soldiers and their families.


"CSI: New York" Star Gary Sinise, "Criminal minds" star Joe Mantegna (mahn-TAYN'-yuh) will host the event, which will also include performances and appearances of the "American Idol" Finalist Pia Toscano, eighth season "Idol" champion Kris Allen, "criminal minds" "." ": suspect behavior" star singer Forest Whitaker and gospel Yolanda Adams.


PBS airs the live concert on May 29.
